Help Noob Trying to upgrade computer!

Okay I want to play Empire Total War when it comes out and being young I have never had to upgrade a system before so I need some help.I need a new processor only 512mb right now and I need a 1gb so where can i get and affordable 1gb processorHelp Noob Trying to upgrade computer!

Well I need y1gb of ram and I just need a cheaper one my budget doesn't relly matter I just don't want to spend a fortune

He may be able to add more R.A.M. if he has an open slot.
