but now it is running at 22 fps when the camera is moving, %26 at 35 when the camera is steady . I wouldn't dare to testit during the fights . I tried reinstalling the drivers yet the same problem existed. some said that i should reset my VGA bios, but i dont think this is the issue, did I broke it ??? what should i do .
WD 500GB HD - 350-400 Watt enlight PSU (not good - but it can do the work) I learned a hell of a lesson
Maybe roll back to the previous set of video drivers. And the settings you had before you started playing around with them. I think I burnd my VGA , urgent help please :(
nope, that didn't work, I went back to the drivers that came with my VGA 158,xx yet still the same.
bump :(
I don't know what to tell you, maybe try reinstalling windows? What is your gpu load when you are playing games? (use gpu-z to check)
Your card will still be fine 79oC isn't hot at all for the 8800's this is most definately a software issue I'd e-mail the card manufacturer if I were you as it does seem a bit odd :)
I did think of formatting, but I only want to do it as a last resort, the GPU temp is in early 70s
Your PSU is nowhere near enough for that CPU,GPU, RAM combo maybe the overclock pushed it over the edge?
I forgot to add that I got a new PSU 500W Thermal Take, %26 the performance also remained the same.

Well probably you really damaged the GPU.
I did some crazy ocing which lead to tons of crashed and graphic errors in my games, I hope you have warranty or something like that. Just a thought, the graphic cards are pretty cheap these days so you might think about buying a new one.
yeah I know that they are cheap, but I want to know what is the problem before I go out %26 buy a new one, I was planning on getting a GTX260, but I got into this problem , I just want to make sure that I didn't do alot of damage. I want to know if the problem is from the GPU or from improper driver updates , ram, cpu , mobo etc.... cuz i got 2 BSOD , so i got to make sure. today I'll get a 8800GTS 320MB (from a relative of mine) %26 test it, if it turned out well, then it is problably the VGA %26 thus I will change it for good.also yesterday after alot of plugging in %26 out %26 trying with rams , another problem had poped up. I added an extra ram %26 tried it out, %26 it worked, I had 4 GB ram but the performance remained the same.So I decided to work with 2Gigs at a time, the first attempt worked but with the same bad performance , %26 the2nd attempt worked with also the same bad performanceso I replugged them all in %26 then when I turned the PC on, it started beeping, not the ram but the VGA, its fan wasn't spinning, but it's plugged in %26 connected to the 6pin powercable, so I turnedoff PC, Unplugged it %26 then re plugg it %26 then turn on, it worked but this time I dont reach the scrreen were they tell me to press F2 to enter bios, it just hangs, %26 the red color on the front of the case that represent the harddisks , is on , not lighting on %26 off, its just on , asif it's not reading from the hardisk. So now when I turn the pc on it just hangs on before the screen were they tell me to pess F2 appears.I got two VGA's to try out, a 8800GTS 320MB, %26 the Other 7600GS 512MB, I hope that it works. if it is a damaged VGA, i dont think that formatting will do much help if any at all.
ok I'll be home in few hrs, so I can start changing the VGAs I hope this works. I dont want it to be a mobo or CPU issue. or RAM.
ok, I tried putting the 2 VGA's, yet the same problem kept on happening. I couldn't get to the point where they tell me to press F2. asif that the computer isnot working, it is just hanging in there.what should I do.
