upgrading an AM2 system

ok, i am lost in the hardware world ill admit, i look away for a second and i look back and nothing makes sence anymore.. so i got a few questionsi got a 5200 X2 AM2 cpu, can i run AM2+ on it? upgrading an AM2 system

It's AM2/AM2+ so it will work. BTW, AM2+ is backwards compatible, all you need is to make sure the BIOS supports quad core phenom. Before you consider upgrading, I would wait for the Deneb that comes out in January.
