Lime wire and cookies question

Can lime wire install cookies on your computer to websites that you have not visited?

i had a room mate that was using a back up computer of mine and i find some sick websites in the internet history. he says its lime wire and it put all those websites in the internet history. I say BS, what do you think?Lime wire and cookies question
Limewire has a built-in browser, but that thing only goes to the starting site. The program is fairly safe; it's just what you do with it. So of course, your roommate is lying to you.
