After eventually updating the driver for this video card when i got my laptop (june of 2008), Every time I have tried opening the control panel, the first time I try it comes up with a ''Nvidia video card has stopped working'' window. After closing this every time I open it the second time it works fine. any suggestions? I did have a hard time updating the first tiem I got the laptop. It seemed that vista and Nvidia made it very hard to do.Nvidia GeForce 8600M GS Control panel doesn't always work
Remove the new driver and install the one that came with your laptop. Laptop graphic card are not working like desktop card when it come to driver, sometime.
