my laptop connect to the wifi in all of my friends houses as well as my apartment just fine, but when i try and connect to my parents wifi the speed totally collapses. when i first connect the wifi speed shows at 54mbps...then it falls to 38mbps...then 24...then 18...then 11...then 5.5...then 1...and it stays at 1 for the most part making surfing the net very difficult...when i use my sisters laptop the speed stays consistent at 54mbps...do you guys know why my laptop seems to have trouble staying connected at a good speed?wifi problems....
Could be location...could also be the router doesn't like your network card. At home, the best way to go is cabled...100mbps, well...roughly.
