I have recenly posted about having a very bad FPS in WoW, i am running on two intel pentium d's, both at 3.0ghz. I have windows XP, 2gb of RAM, and my brand new XFX 9600 GT 512mbTruth be told i think the game ran better on my 8400 GS, with almost nothing maxed out on a 1440x900 resolution i get about a 12fps out in the open world, and dont even get me started on Dalaran...(thats with my 9600 GT)I JUST updated my cards drivers and everything else on my computer is up to date, and the FPS still remains very low, can someone lend a helping hand to an already empty-walleted gamer?Help! my FPS Shouldnt be THIS low!
Did you just install new drivers, or did you clean out your old ones first? How about general system maintenance? Registry cleaning, defragmentation, that sort of thing. What kind of power supply are you using?Help! my FPS Shouldnt be THIS low!
i may have forgotten to remove my old drivers, i defrag about every 2 months or so, my power supply max is a 480 watt...i dont think i've ever cleaned out my registry's O_OHow is this done?
Okay, first of all stop saying that you have TWO intel pentium d's... It just shows everyone that you don't know as much as you think you know. You have ONE intel pentium d with TWO processing cores.
Now for you problem, have you tried playing a different game and seeing if the performance decrease still remains? Have you tried using a different driver than the one you are using?
Did you install the driver correctly? You need to uninstall your previous driver before installing a new one.

Use a program like Driver Cleaner Pro to clean out all your old drivers, and then update the drivers to the latest version off the Nvidia website.
As for registry cleaning, that's done with a program like CCleaner, which is an immensely helpful utility.
try turning off vsync off in the actual game and se if that helps
