Overclocking help! CPU

I am overclocking my CPU i am getting temps at about 58C-55C at the prime95 1024k test is that normal? also how long should i stress test? i never leave my computer on idling for more than 4hr. and i usually don't play games for more than 3hr. Overclocking help! CPU

thats normal when at full loud mines is usually around 50 and keeping the pc on idle isn't really a stress test put on games or heavy app and monitor the tempsOverclocking help! CPU
how do i monitor temps while playing games? i tried that before with coretemp but the temp drops when i press control+alt+del. so it is not accurate. is that a different program to monitor this?

do alt+tab instead
on 3dmark06 i scored:11270 and my CPU score is: 2870also i am getting VERY low fps on the CPU tests so is there anything wrong with that? or is it supposed to be very low, for example 0-2 FPS I am below average but i have a cheap computer.

What games are you playing and on what settings?



Have you installed your 8800GT drivers?

Have you installed your 8800GT drivers?[/QUOTE]i am playing COD4, Oblivion, FLFOW, Mass Effect, and Total war 2 all on MAX settings except for my res. is only set to 720p with good FPS.and for my drivers i downloaded the latest 180.48.

[/QUOTE]That cpu score seems ok for a dual core to be honest, you will find CPU score works out higher when you have more cores, I get a really good score on my Phenom and its not overclocked yet :P
