I have a Dell XPS 710 with a Core 2 Duo at 2.16. I want to upgrade to a Quad Core, but I honestly have no experience with CPU upgrading. Whoops, thought that was in there.The chipset is nforce4 SLI Intel Edition.
You can easily upgrade the processor in your 710. Just check which processors are supported by your BIOS and once you are ready to install just follow the instructions below. Make sure you apply the thermal grease you purchase with your processor correctly and it's all good.
